Hocus Pocus
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Great-Britain, 1803. You play Ozias, a magician in search of fame: Edward helped you for a time by lending you money to put on your shows. And you dangled the teleportation formula to him... Unfortunately, the road seems longer than expected and Edward is not the patient kind. You must now optimize your latest books to put on a show, learn new tricks and improve them to perform in the biggest cities, where you will have a wider audience but a very picky one...
Impress the magicians you meet on your way, and find as soon as possible enough to pay back Edward as well as the famous formula! You have three months, time is running out.
Gameplay
Hocus Pocus takes place on three levels: you must identify the most suitable cities and times to host your show on the main map, then perform your tricks in the form of mini-games, to finally be able to improve your tricks book! Be careful, the game ends automatically when you run out of money. Each day that passes costs £5: this covers your living expenses.
About
This game was produced in 2021 as part of a creative challenge between friends around the theme "teleportation", lasting a month (and it is not impossible that I took a little more time that, ahem): this is a first for me! I would be delighted to be able to get your feedback into account for potentials futures creations!

Install instructions
For the Windows version, you simply have to dezip the .zip and launch the file Hocus Pocus.exe.
For the Mac version, you have to place the .app into the Application folder.

I really like this game, but it has a few bugs 1.when there is a minigame where you have to press letters on the keyboard, it doesn't work 2.very often it doesn't show me information about the cities and the game frozes when I click on them.
if you can fix it, I will definitely play the game and make a video of it on my channel
Ih Palaros, thanks for playing and for your kind feedback ! Indeed, under certains circumstances those bugs were present (thanks for pointing that out) : there are now solved and I have updated the download files !
I'm gonna go play it right now.
The city information is showing up fine and there are no frozes when I click on it but I dont know if it is problem on my site or problem in the game but the minigame with the keyboard still doesn't work for me
I made some others changes in the new version 0.9.6, for some points that maybe could generate problems in this minigame. Fingers crossed !
Just tried it everything works as it should gonna make a video out of it soon
